The visit of the Supreme Being
We, Zarathustra the Celestial Cat, deigned to visit the famous Hieronymus Bosch’s painting “The Visions of the Hereafter: The Ascent of the Blessed” as the true Supreme Being:
You may see how blessed human souls discover in awe who actually rules the world: the Celestial Cat
Fancy-winged angels appear to be escorting the souls of the blessed toward a tunnel of light through which the Celestial Cat observes them with curiosity.
The angels and the blessed souls gaze upwards at the divine light in the narrow tapering corridor.
The chosen ones who reached the point of transition may even bury their faces and hands in the shining fur and feel on their skin rays of light – whiskers of the Supreme Being
The commonly known version of the masterpiece, currently on view in Venice, in the Museum of Palazzo Grimani, is widely known because of its use as an illustration of the studies of human thoughts about the afterlife and contemporary studies of near-death experiences
Maybe Bosch himself had experienced anything like this, but his vision of ascension through a bright tunnel of light to meet past beloved ones, seems to match the experiences that survivors often describe.
If you look at the end of the tunnel in the painting closely here, you may see at the end of the tunnel two figures waving or greeting what seems to be a silhouette of an angelic being
But if you look at that part of the painting and concentrate all your attention, you will see what this angelic being actually is:
What seems to be the wings of an angel, are the ears of the Celestial Cat approaching the end of the tunnel from the other side!
So the version We present today is the final one!
It was hidden during the centuries until nowadays when the Celestial Cat wants to say to humanity:
“Humans, wait! Stop destroying your planet! Stop waging wars! It’s too early to join me!
The exit from the tunnel is blocked by the Supreme Being!
No light, no garden, and angels with harps, no virgins, no feast!
Just go back and manage your world until it is not too late!”
Thus speaks Zarathustra the Celestial Cat
