Red Fuji and Ginger Catzilla
Do you know that the famous Japanese ukiyo-e master Katsushika Hokusai created a series of views of Mount Fuji embellished by playful ginger Catzilla doing his routines in iconic surroundings?
Today We, Zarathustra the Cat, reveal another masterpiece from the series:
Ginger Catzilla the Elder is guarding the famous volcano, accumulating its heat and preventing it from erupting
He teaches Godzilla Junior his skills to make him his collaborator in the noble task of defending our planet from different cataclysms
The joyful kid plays with the volcano like a kitten with a cardboard box: he jumps inside it and then suddenly pops out of it
The monster kid munched on magma inside the mouth of the volcano, it’s so delicious for him.
Definitely Junior overate it and now has atomic breath
“Junior, you should not eat too much magma at once,” says Catzilla the Elder, “If you eventually puke a tsunami may occur, and all our efforts will go down the drain. But, anyway, today you prevented the eruption. Good boy”
Now have a look at the commonly known version of the masterpiece in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York:
