How to play a lute with your cat
Though We, Zarathustra the Cat, are Mews of every art, music is not Our beloved entertainment.
We, like many other cats, think that the best music is silence. But once the great artist Caravaggio asked Us to sit for him together with the lovely looking model who pretended to be a lute player:
But it appeared that the boy didn’t know how to play the lute. So he began to tickle Us, and We scratched the lute’s cords with Our noble hind leg.
You should imagine these heavenly sounds!
Just have a look at the commonly known version of the painting, on display at the Hermitage Museum:
The lonely boy is saying: “Come on, I need my fat ginger cat to play you a song about love!”
Believe Us!
Thus speaks Zarathustra the Cat
This is really really excellent! Zarathustra is brilliant
Thank you!?
